Composite Aerostructure Stress Analysis & Design Engineer

NFT is based in Mountain View, CA and developer of the ASKA™ – the first viable Electric Vertical Take-off and Landing vehicle (eVTOL) in the world with drive and fly capabilities. The ASKA™ has both vertical and short takeoff and landing capabilities (VTOL and STOL).

This is a specialized role for an aerospace structural engineer with the following experience and qualifications: 

  • 60% of your responsibilities will focus on composite stress analysis

  • 40% of your responsibilities will focus on structural design  

  • You’ll use your expertise in dynamic and static stress analysis 

  • Actively collaborate with an engineering team to improve the manufacturability of a product (Design for Manufacturing) while controlling cost and weight.

Required Work Experience

  • Dynamic and Static stress analysis experience

  • 10 years minimum of engineering experience in design, stress analysis and production environment with composite and metal structures in the aerospace industry

  • Proficient in CAD software, 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA, Abaqus

  • Experience with wing and fuselage stress analysis 

  • Proficient in the fundamentals of industrial engineering.

Employment Type

  • Full-time and on-site but open to flexible/partly-remote working arrangements

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

  • Will consider a visa transfer for the right candidate who is already living in the U.S.
